Plate Rate is a food platform aiming to incentivize users into trying something new. Whether your a local or tourist you'll get insight on your next order for a discounted price.
Thinking
This project challenged the process of decision making and how design can influence the subconscious mind. I started my research learning the steps we take before coming to a decision, then curated my design solutions around my findings.
-
People are influenced to make decision by others.
-
Conversion occurs when the thought of a subject becomes a validated by others.
-
Conviction raises the likeliness of a recurring customer.
Personas

Data points revealed most users were missing key feature of the platform that would influence their understanding of what's available. In turn they sought a more intuitive end to end experience.

Direction of Design
With pain points in mind I designed an onboarding flow to the sitemap, consolidated navigation flows, and targeted optimal composition to card components for restaurant and menu items. This addressed the pace a user would experience the site and allow me to narrow my focus to highlighting the primary feature that would ultimately affect their decision making.

Hi Fidelity Wire-Framing
Continuing to draw reference to my users pain points. Ideation and curating a high fidelity design reflected the data points of my research.

Reflection and Refining
My solutions were broken down to composition and implementing an onboard flow. In order to consolidate and minimize the users need to configure the platforms functionality. It aided the opportunity to focus on primary features that affected the users experience. Now, testing is the ongoing phase to improve these solutions and validate its design.
